The curriculum framework consists of five essential elements: knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, and action. The curriculum framework is structured around three interrelated questions.
What do we want to learn ? - The written curriculum
How best will we learn ? - The taught curriculum
How will we know what we have? - The learned curriculum
The knowledge component is developed through inquiries into six trans-disciplinary themes of global significance, supported and balanced by six subject areas:
Language
Social studies
Mathematics
Science and Technology
Arts
Personal, Social and Physical Education
In the spirit of internationalism, students are required to learn a second language in addition to the language of instruction of the school.
