The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme
(IB MYP), designed for students aged 12-16, has been offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) since 1994 with the aim to develop a curriculum encouraging international awareness in young people.
This student age group, encompassing early puberty and mid-adolescence is a particularly critical phase of personal and intellectual development. Such a time of sensitivity, susceptibility, resistance and questioning requires an exceptional educational programme that will help students develop the knowledge, attitude and skills they need to participate in a changing and increasingly global society. In so doing, learning how to learn and how to evaluate information is critically is, maybe more, if not as important as the content of the subjects themselves.
